BTE hearing aids
The BTE (Behind-The-Ear) hearing aid is a device placed behind the ear, with a tube that transmits sound to the ear canal. It consists of three main parts: Ear mold (custom-designed to fit the contours of your ear), Tube (connecting the hearing aid to the ear mold), Hearing aid body (located behind the ear). BTEs are often recommended for individuals with severe or profound hearing loss, as they can accommodate high-power amplification. Additionally, children with hearing loss often wear BTE hearing aids due to their adaptability as the child grows. BTEs are slightly larger than Receiver-In-Canal (RIC) hearing aids, and their larger size allows them to deliver greater volume.
