RIC Hearing Aids
Behind-the-ear hearing aids are the most common and simplest in terms of fit. The device has enough physical size to accommodate advanced microchips, Bluetooth antennas, and a large battery. These hearing aids offer the most available options and the widest range of prices. Typically, the microphone and all the electronic "components" are located behind the ear, but a thin, transparent wire transmits sound to a receiver placed discreetly in a black rubber dome within the ear canal. These devices are very easy to put on and take off, and they feature one or two buttons for direct adjustments. The unit itself comes in a variety of colors to naturally and discreetly match hair or skin tones. RIC hearing aids are the most popular choice and are manufactured by all major companies.
